CRICKET.
HAY OF PLENTY ASSOCIATION FORMED. Duringtlie week-end, a meeting attended by delegates from the Rotorua, Bay of Plenty, and Taupo districts. was held in Rotorua to form a Bay of Plenty Cricket Association ( says the Rotorua Chronicle ). Hitherto, cricket has not been organised in this area; but now. with the consent of the New Zealand Cricket Council, the counties of Tauranga, Rotorua. Whakatane, Opotiki and Taupo will comprise (ho Bay of Plenty Cricked Association—a minor association eligible to challenge for the Hawke Cup at present held bv Waikato. The meeting was unanimous that the headquarters of the new association should be at Rotorua. Rules for the regulation of play in the above urea wore passed, subject. to ratilication by the New Zealand Council and the following olHcers were elected. Patron; Mr K. S.
