A healthier tone. A healthier tone is recorded in the London butter market, according to cables received by Amalgamated Dairies, Ltd. This firm’s London office reports: The butter market closed steady. Anchor, 128 s; other finest butter, 1275, although little business passing since Tuesday owing to holidays; Danish, 14 0s on the spot, 13 2s f.0.b.; retails unchanged. Cheese- White, 765; coloured, 80s; demand slower during last few days. Prices very firm, particularly coloured, which is very short on the spot; retails unchanged.
