NELSON APPLES.
ARRANGEMENTS FOR EXPORT. The decision of the Shipping Committee to send five steamers to the port of Nelson to partially load with apples and pears, is greatly appreciated by Nelson fruit exporters; as a considerable saving will be effected, and there will''be less handling of the fruit. It, is probable that a large cool store will be erected at the port of Nelson before the next export season commences. In this store fruit would be assembled for ocean liners. The Nelson' Harbour Board is sympathetic in the matter, and will confer with the exporters before a definite scheme is decided upon. •
