RURAL CREDITS.
FUTURE DEVELOPMENT. At a meeting of the Rural Intermediate Credits Board at Wellington the commissioner reported that the board's business showed very satis--factory progress and that there was every indication that a material; increase would be recorded during the coming winter months. Apart from the normal development of the board's business it is anticipated that the reduced returns which are at present being derived from sheep and dairy produce and the in I creased cost of obtaining financial ac- ; J commodation through the ordinary | channels will result in an increased demand, upon the board by farmers. jln this connection it is of interest : that the rate of interest charged to 1 borrowers under all headings remains - at 6i per cent per annum.
