MATAMATA PRICES. At the Farmers’ Auctioneering Company’s fortnightly sale at Mala mata on Wednesday there was a heavy yarding of all classes of cattle and also of sheep. Over ;o<* head of beef were penned, all of which sold at late quotations. Stoic cattle were in demand and sold steadily at late rates. All classes of sheep remained firm at lately-increas-ed prices. There was a medium yarding of fat and store, pigs and ruling priics were maintained for baconors and porkers, but competi tion was easier for slips and wcancrs. On behal fof F. R. Gibson the whole of his stock was sold at satisfactory prices. A line of choice two-year Friesian heifers running with (he bull made from £7 5/ to £.H 10/ and a line of 29 hoicc Friesian calves realised £3 11/, while his best fat cows brough up to £<> 1 ~/.
