RUGBY IN TAURANGA.
(To the Editor.) Sir.—Your article anent the football contest to be presented next Saturday is timely -and of import. Ao doubt exists about the game warranting support or that the footballers are prepared at all times to give their best, with the same applying to the referees and umpires.
However there are certain other matters that should receive attention that would tend towards publie support. The following obtains with other unions and the recorded attendances show the public appreciation of; Punctual starting _ of matches. Line umpires provided with flags. Score board. Dodgers with the player's name and number. A charge of 1 /- to the ground as obtaining with Auckland and Waikato would probably tend to more than double the attendance of a charge of 2/-. —I am, etc., “RUGGER,” Taurariga. Aug, h, 1929.
