IN THE MATTER of “Tho Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926,” and “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,” and amend mcnts thereof respectively. r TAURANGA BOROUGH COUNCIL hereby gives public notice that such Council proposes to raise a special loan of two thousand three Hundred pounds (£2000) for the purpose of erecting a public library, reading room and sanitary conveniences (ladies’ rest room) and to make an annual recurring special rate of one-ninth of a penny (l/9th d.) in the pound sterling on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Tauranga as security for payment of the interest sinking fund and other charges in connection with such loan. The whole of the loan is to be repayable at the expiration of 36-1 years from the date of raising tho loan and the rate of interest is not to exceed Five pounds ten shillings (£5 10s Od) per centum per annum and a sinking fund of not less than One pound (£l) per centum per annum on tho amount of the loan raised is to be provided as security for and for the purpose of repayment of the loan. It is propsed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the loan and tho preliminary expenses incurred in connection with the scheme if certified by the audit office as provided by Section 6A of “Tho Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926,” but it is not proposed to pay out of the loan any portion of interest or sinking fund and no portion of the loan is to be expended on renovations to the existing building.
