WEEKLY WESTFIELD SALE. Beef valftes were maintained at the weekly Westfield fat stock sale on Wednesday. An average- number of cattle was penned, the puahty generally being first class. Lxtra choice ox beef sold readily at last week's rate of 38s p-or 1001 b. Values for prime wether mutton showed a wider range than last week, but there was no difficulty in quitting all the sheep offered. Some ertra heavy prime wethers realised 37s 9d. Lambs came forward in average numbers. A few’ extra special lots sold at 32s 9d, but the ruling rate was slightly easier than that of last week. A larger yarding than usual of calves round the demand easier for the heavy lots, but others sold at current prices. A good supply of pigs met with brisk bidding, and t prices were fully maintained at late rates. The following is a list of the prices realised; Beef (per 1001b.)—Extra choice ox, 38/-; choice and prime ox, 34/to 37/-; choice and prime cow and heifer, 31/ to 34/. Sheep (per head)—Prime wethers, 30/- to 37/9; prime ewes, 24/to 30/6; prime lambs, 21/- to 32/9. Calves (per head) —Runners, 85/to 132/- ;‘vealers, 58- to 112/-. Pigs (per head) —Baeoners, 65/to 86/-; porkers, 40/- to 74/-; weaners, 3/- to 12/-; slips, 12/- to 17/; large stores, 25/ to 28/.
