HEAVY FINES
(Per Press Association). Auckland, April 19. Raymond Lewis, aged 40, Francis Brower, 41, and Robert Francis Bennett, 45, wen- each fined £IOO or three months imprisonment for using their premises in the city as common gaming houses. Austen McCormick, 33, and Frederick James Dryland, 27, who assisted in the management of such houses, were each fined £lO, while Alfred Nicholls, 66 ,and Louis Atger, 22, were fined £2 each on a charge of being found on the premises.
