Mr T. Floyd, of Auckland, is visiting Tauranga and took part in the rifle shooting competition on the local range on Saturday. The Whakatane County Clerk, Mr H. R. Robinson, has been appointed Clerk of the Hutt County Council. There were ninety applications for the position. Messrs B. O. Robbins and J. R. Padlie, who attended the annual meeting and demonstration of the United Fire Brigades Association, returned by last night’s train.
