MARKETING ASSOCIATION’S REPORT The New Zealand Co-Operative Pigmarketing Association, Hamilton, re. ports muter dale. January 0: During the last munlh large supplies of pigs have come to hand. Jhe total pigs handled for the month of Dceemher being 5330 a s compared with 3000 during the same month of last year. The total pigs handled to date thia season amount to 13,900, as compared with 5198 at the same dale last year. You will therefore note (hot there Ims been a steady increase in the supplies of pigs offered. Markets for both porkers and bacon, ers are at the moment steady at a price a little better Ilian scales price, and large quantities of pigs have been disposed of outside New Zeeland. This should lend to steady the local market very considerably during lids lime of the year when pigs are offering in large quantities. We must apologise to suppliers for our failure to complete the last season’s Porker Pools before Hu's, but returns from London have hampered ou t - doing so. However, we anticipate being able to clear up these pools before the end of January. Suppliers may rc s l assured that no one is mote anxious tlmn ourselves to have these pools cleared up, and tho moment we are in u position to do so, we will finalise them.
