AWARDS TU NEW ZEALANDERS ZOOLOGY AND ENTOMOLOGY. (Per Press Association) Auckland, Jan. 25 Awards to prominent New Zealand scientists for the valuable researches they have conducted were confirmed kt the annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the New Zealand Institute. The Hector Medal in Zoology was awarded to the Hon. G. M. Thomson, M.L.C., member of the Otago Institute. The Board of Governors also approved the recommendation of the committee of the Hutton award, that the medal should go to G. N ■ Hudson, of the Wellington Philosophical Society-, for his entomological reseaich.
