UNKNOWN MAN KILLED. (Per Press Association.) Wanganui. June 9 A man. middle-aged, who lias not vet l oon identified, was knot ked down hv a motor lorry in Glasgow Street extension earlv this morning. He was walking towards Spriugvale and the lorry was coming towards the citv. 'Tim driver stooped to malic some ail just men t and wlem he looked up he saw (he pcuc-tiian. Inti it vas too late to avoid an accident. The hitter was rendered unconscious, and his arm was broken, lie was sent to the bespit til. when.- lie died shortly after admission. The lorry was well lighted.
