It is semi-officially stated that the ex-socialist deputy Signor Zaniboni w r as arrested on a charge of preparing an attempt oh the life of Signor Mussolini (Premier.) A semi-official statement declares that the police during the last few days received confirmation of guarded reports previously reaching them of an attempt being prepared against Signor Mussolini’s life during yesterday’s celebration of Italy’s victory in the Great War. The police planned a number of arrests and forced their way into a room near the foreign office. They surprised and arrested Signor, Zaniboni just as he had got everything in readiness to carry out the criminal attempt. A retired General, Louis Capello. ■ waa arrested in Turin, on the point of his departure’ abroad.
