Portable’ wireless receiving sets, are becoming more and more popular with people who are spending [he day in the open air. One- motor car seen near Ripley, Surrey, was fitted with, a valve set requiring no earth or aerial, and a a;net speaker. Other people wt*r<j content to swing an aerial between two trees, arrange an earth, and, while resting in the country, listen to the nearest broadcasting static*.
