The tests were conducted by the Dept, of Agriculture to determine the relative economic values of phosphatic fertilizers used for top-dressing. In every test Superphosphate outclassed all other fertilizers. Study the result tables here listed. They are taken from the August 1925 issue of the “N.Z. Journal of Agriculture”—-(pages 90-91.) Concerning table 1, the “Journal of Agriculture” says—-“As far as weight of hay goes, the plots dressed with Superphosphate have again shown their superiority over the slag and rock-phosphate plots.” Superphosphate is, without doubt, the most profitable fertilizer for either pastures or crops.
