PU BI A ( VVJ TH DR A W AI, .DEMANDED. (Per Press Association. - ) * Christchurch, Nov 3. The Mayor of Christchurch, the Rev. J. K. Archer, has sent the following telegram to -Mr W, I>. Lysnar, Independent Reform candidate for Gi-hornc *‘l hereby demand within Iwenty-lour hours on the platform and in the press, a withdrawal of your false statement concerning myself.’’ It is alleged that Mr Lysnar quoted the Rev. Archer as saying lie would rather pray for a weasel than for the King.
