• CHARGE AGAINST POSTAL OFFICIAL. (Per Press Association.) Auckland, Nov .3. At the Supreme Court Clio jury rej turned a verdict of not guilty in the charge of theft and forgery against Aubrey Leigh Al'iddlenu'ss, when ho was a clerk at the Pukekohe Post Office. The charge concerned a deposit- of £2O by a Maori, which it was alleged accused had put to his own use and which it was stated had "been repaid, but which statement was denied by the Maori. The Postmaster denied that the Maori had ever made any complaint to him, and several witnesses gave evi- i dence as to accused's good character. ■ \
