SUICIDE OF LECTURER

Evelyn White, a lecturer at Leeds University, and a, wellknown Egyptian archaeologist, com milted suicide in a taxi cab at Leeds while proceeding to the inquest on Miss Helen Xind, a music teacher, whither he was subpoenaed. The inquest disclosed that Miss Xind poisoned herself with carbolic acid. Correspondence between White and Miss Xind was produced at the inquest.
