The work of making up parcels bought by patrons will be carried out by a special staff. Last, but by no means least, is the refreshment stall, where tea and cakes will be obtainable at any hour. The fair will be opened by His Worship the Mayor (Mr B. Dive) at two o’clock on Monday. It will continue until 5 p.m., and re-open at seven o’clock.

Burin or the evening l “The Revellers.” a concert partv under the guidance of Mr Wills, will give a vaudeville entertainment. The members of the party are Mesdames Suddard Foster, Broad and L. Crowley, and Messrs Chafer, Suddard Foster, Lumley, Histed and Wills. A troupe of children, trained by Mrs Meikle, will present a fairy play, called “All Hallowe’en.” The characters are as follows: “Brownie,” Marv Walker; “Ida,” Moira Hardy; “Oberon,” Betty Hardy; “Titania,” Dorothy Wills ; “Will o’ the Wisp,” Keith Meikle; “Witch,” Dudley Mountfort; “Sunshine,” Jessie Foster; “The Cat,” Charlie Wrigley. The children have attended many rehearsals and their entertainment should be of a charming nature. The members of the Plunket committee have spent considerable time in preparing for the fair, and have been well encouraged as regards donations in kind.
