ACCIDENT TO NATIVE

So far as can be ascertained deceased was riding in the vicinity of Hikutaia on tbe previous evening, and his In use was found near Hikutaia on Snndav morning. Apparently ho had been thrown from the hors,- and lav on the roadside over-night. It is'aisc reported that deceased wets in company with another man. Examination 'at the Wailii Hospital showed that the man s skull had not been fractured nor wen- any injuries sustained to his head. The Wailii coroner has ordered a post, mortem, and an inquiry will lx* held later. The parents of deceased reside at Kerepeehi. The police are making further Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the fatality.
