Price (Taupcd, Parkinson and McIntosh (Opotiki), and J, A, Ruddy, hon. ocretary and treasurer. Air Parata in his Presidential address, said it was pleasing to see such a large attendance of dele canes under rite adverse weather conditions. Balance Sheet, The balance sheet, showing a ere;lit of £45 17/6. with assets cl £4O over liabilities, was adopted. The President thought- the balance sheet very satisfactory, considering the heavy expenses incurred in assembling rep. roams, and he congratulated Mr Ruddy on his good work. Mr Jordan endorsed the President’s remarks. Mr Ruddy had a hard position to till ; it was only his enthusiasm for Rugby that gave to the union his continued services as secretary. Mr Ruddy thanked the members for their kindly remarks. It was die pleasure of working with a harmonious committee that induced him to continue for another year, and he accepted the position amidst applause. Election of Officers, The electiorwff officers resulted as follows Patron, Mr F. I • Hockly, M.P., (re-elected), President, Mr W. T Parata (re-elected) ; Vice-Presidents, Messrs J A Jordan (Tanranga), F. Palmer (Te Puke), G. Shalfcon (Opotiki), and the Presidents of the Apanni and Tokaanu Sub-Unions. The above Vice-Presidents were appointed the Management Committee, with two delegates from each Snb-Unicn. Auditor, Mr Smythe (re-elected); Delegate to New Zealand Rugby Union, Mr W. T. Parata ; Hon. Secretary and Treasurer, Mr J. A. Ruddy (re-elected) ; Selectors: Messrs J." A Jordan (Tanranga) Mclntosh (Opotlki) and Anderson (Rotorua). Reinstatement Declined. A letter was read from the New Zealand Rugby Union, declining to reinstate G. Gardiner from the League code. Payment to Hawke’s Bay. A letter from the Hawke's Ray Rugby Union, regarding .£25 due them for a match at Rotorua, was discussed, and it was agreed to honour the debt and pay Hawke’s Bay as soon as possible. Mclntosh Junior Shield. Mr Mclntosh explained that Tancatna were the present! holders of the Mclntosh Junior Shield. Some misunderstanding had arisen last year, and it was agreed that the donor arrange through- the Opotiki Union with Taneatua tc hand ever the shield to Che Bay of Plmuv Union, and that firm conditions be drawn up for its competition. Outside Matches. Mr Ruddy brought up the matter of sub-unions applying tc the parent body for permission to play outside matches, and it was agree ! that sub-unions be notified to this effect. A letter was read from the Poverty Bay Union regarding return match, and it was decided that the tour be undertaken early in August with a scries cf Three' matches; Against Poverty Bay at Gisborne, cn a Saturday; against East Con't at Gisborne cn the following Saturday : and against Wairoa. at: Wairoa cn a Wednesday.

Ivnsabs Cup Competition, It was decided to play the Kusabri Cup matches as follows;---First R ouud —Saturday, July 5. Second round - Saturday, July 19. Final Saturday, August 2. The draw for the first round resulted : Tauranga v. T* * Puke, at Te Puke.

Rancdtaiki v. Rotorua, at Rotorua. Opot'ki v. Wlfakatane, at Whah •- tane. Taupe-* v. Tckaanu, at Tanpo. Apanui, a bye. N.Z. Referees* Association. Mr Parana was appointed to represent the Union at the- annual meeting of the New Zealand Referees' Association at Wellington »m .Tinlo 2 Next Meeting. The next meeting of the Union, was fixed to b? held at Tanning*, cn July 12.
