Aust. —N.Z. Cable Assoc. Rec. April 28, morning. _ London, April 27. Annie O’Neill and Nellie Ryan have been liberated from Kilmainhain gaol. They have been hungerstriking for some time. The doctors advised that they were in grave danger of dying. The Dail Eireaiiu on May 2 will debate a motion declaring that anyone hunger striking thereafter must take the full consequences. Rec. April 28, 8.50 a.m. London, April 27. It is reported that the Free State Government is sympathetically considering a scheme for legalising betting, which the turf club approves. Rec, April 28, 9.20 a.m. London, April 27 A curous position has arisen in connection with the recent Irish deportations whiclx has been the subject of consultations between Ministers and the law officers. A meeting of Cabinet considered the matter tonight and the Court of Appeal today gives a decision on the application for habeas corpus on behalf of Art O'Brien. It is pointed out that this will govern the other- cases. Should the courts decision be against the Home Secretary it is predicted that the Government will have no alternative to asking Parliament to pass an Act of indemnity to absolve the Home Secretary' from penalties which might attach to the act of recent deportations. This is understood to he the opinion of the majority of the Cabinet.
