BOY KILLED
—<*> (Per Press Association). Vvellington, April 28 At the inquest on the body of Herbert Reginald Johnson, held yesterday, the medical evidence showed that a fractured skull was the cause of death. According to the evidence deceased and another boy were standing on the footpath when a motor car, driven by Thomas Francis Batley, in trying to avoid two tramcars shot up to the footpath and knocked Johnson dawn. The finding of the coroner was that the cause ot death was a fractured skull, which Johnson received through being knocked down by a motor car negligently driven by Thomas Francis Bailey, who ignored all notices warning motorists against trams and excessive speed.
