OMANAWA FALLS
(From our Correspondent). The Lawn Tennis Club held a ojeting in Mr A. Lloyd’s residence on Saturday last, when there was a large attendance. It was decided to leave the dressing of the court till spring, but to go on with the fencing and planting' of shelter trees Extensive improvements have been made to the grounds of the lower school, fencing, grassing, and x general clean-up. The builders have arrived to start on the cottages that the Borough is erecting here. The successful tenderers are Messrs J. Forbes and A. Bannatyne. Last Friday the rainfall here registered 4.40 in., which is going some. A slight outbreak of fire occurred 'in Mr Deane’s house on Friday, but willing helpers soon subdued the outbreak. There will bo a dance in the schoolroom next Saturday. The music will be good and special attention will be given to the floor. Several cars will leave town to bring visitor's.
