I — An elderly woman complained at Willesden Police Court that her landlady continually annoyed her. Magistrate : “What is the worst thing she has done ?” Complainant; “She opened my door and shouted at me.” II — landlady complained in Shoreditch County Court that a lodger told her to get a quart of water and scrub herself. Solicitor ; "And were you filthy dirty “Well I didn’t need a quart.” ill —A lodger complained at Shoreditch Police Court lhat his landlady, a spinster, and her sister, sang hymns and carols outside his bedroom door until three in the morning.
