Poole submit!el a motion providing for the deletion of existing rule 9 and (ho substitution of a rule setting up district committees, anl a new rule constituting ’four districts, viz., Tauranga, le Puke, Mount, and Ratikati, and for the holding of annual meetings i„ each district in March. Each committee to consist of not less than four members and a chairman, and t 0 deal with the social or business matters' affecting returned men in ■ their own districts; ami where necessary'to ijefer cases to the oxecutive. , A further amendment to the rules was submitted and carried providing for ten days' notice instead of fourteen days for general meetings, and another amendment fixing jnectings of the executive committee not less than once a quarter instead of once a month. Auckland District Conference. •Alessrs'C. N. Clatk and Urqnahart were elected the Association s delegates to the Auckland district conference on May Gth and 7th. Remits to Conference,

It was decided to submit the following remits to tlie Auckland district conference for submission —if approved— to the Dominion Conference. ■l. That the advance to returned soldiers be increased from £750 to £IOOO. 3n That the loan for building be the same for men in rural districts as in towns. 3. Thai no more Asiatics be admitted into New Zealand. 4. That the repayment instalments on "loans be reduced, thus giving men a longer time to pay oil their Joans. 5. That the present apparently tin-restricted immigration bo more or less curtailed until things are easier,

6. That the Government be urged to modify the present restriction regarding a man losing bis pension on account of imprisonment, it being considered that a man’s pension is based solely on his disability incurred through wounds or sickness while on active- service, 7. That the Government be requested to consider the matter of either establishing a stud farm in this district, or adding it as a branch to the present Horticultural Hatiou in Tauranga. Motions of condolence, were passed in the usual way with the wives and families of the late Mr Moore Jones and E' Reeve. Thanks.
