BIDDING SPIRITED By Telegraph—Association -ConyriEb Timaru, Jan 4 "At the first wool sale yesterday nearly 10,000 bales were offered to a full bench of buyers from all quarters. Bidding was spirited and the market healthier in tone. About five per cent of the total was pasged. Prices realised were: Merino 13d to 14%d. Fine halfbred tojd to I2|d, medium lod to 1 l3d, coarse 9d to LOd. Fine crossbred to Bd, medium 5d to 6d, coarse 4d to sd. Prices sold well.
