The route of Mr. Storey s (thelate Premier) funeral from the Cathedral to the railway station for hours before the cortege moved was lined by crowds. After an impressive service at the Cathedral, conducted by the Dean and Primate of Sydney, the procession, which was headed by the fire brigade baud, and three thousand marching unionists, left for Field Mars cemetery. Special trams conveyed those marching from the Cathedral, where the body was lying in state. It was one of the most representative funerals held in the State.
