KILLED BY A BULL
Nelson, April 25
A farmer named William Burton Smith was gored to death by a bull at Stoke yesterday. The deceased went down to attend to the bull which was on a chain. The bull charged and tossed him, and the fall broke Mr. Smith’s neck. The chain became bound round his body which was also severely gored. A verdict of accidental death was returned.
