AT MORE THAN 5* PER CENT Consent has been given to th y raising of the following loans b local bodies at not more than 5 Vi per cent, interest:— Auckland City Council (for loan renewal), £50,000; Buller Hospital and Charitable Aid Board (for erection of additional buildings), f 10,000; Ohura County Council (for culverting and metalling portions of Kururau; Otunui North, aud Whakamaro roads), £2000; Hastings Borough Council (for street construction and extension), -£1000; Opotiki County Council (for forming Whinray-Mauromoko deviation), £1000: Whakatane Harbour Board (for completing harbour improvements), £650; Kawa Drainage Board (for completing drainage works), £200; Patangata County Council (to complete Patangata bridge), £9OO.
