FATE OF TIFLIS
CONFLICTING REPORTS
The Time* Rec. March 1, 8.5 p.m. London, Feb. 28. Reports as to the position in Titlis are conflicting. The Georgian Government telegrams state that it has not fallen. The Constantinople correspondent states that anarchy and pillage are rampant in Tiflis, due to Bolshevik agents demoralising the Georgian army, which later melted, allowing the Bolshevik army to capture the town without resistance. Another Bolshevik army is marching upon Datenm, on which the Turkish army is also marching. The Moslem population will certainly support the latter. FALL OF TIFLIS DENIED. Paris, Feb. 28. The Georgian 1 Government has telegraphed a denial of the reported fall of Tiflis.
