TIRED OF STRIKE
Australian and w.Z. Cabin Association Sydney, jpebrnary 15. A meeting of seamen held at tie 1 Trades Hall discussed the strike situation. The feeling nf tin- meeting was that the Guvernmeni diouhl be forced to bring about a settlement. At the coiieludon it was *>L ficially announced that the men were anxious to resume work. As a result of the shipping deadlock great lossm have been incurred in all brandies of the who!, sale trade, as since the steward- went .on strike there has been practically no exporting, white inl<*r-Stale trade has suffered severely. Ihe export of fruit to New Zealand lias also been largely interfered with.
