Rec June 9, morning New York, June 8 The "New York Times" Chicago correspondent says De Valera and Walsh have finished the tentative draft of plans which they will ask the Committee on Re3o IJtions to incorporate in the Republic?.n platform. The understanding amongst the leaders is that in the event of the com mittee refusing to adopt the draft De Valera and Walsh will ask that a plank expressing sympathy with the Irish people be incorporated. London, June 7 Sinn Fein circles in London informed the Australian Press Association that it was unlikely that De Valera would attempt to visit Australia, as rumoured. It was more than likely that De Valera would consult Archbishop Mannix at San Francisco. Probably Archbishop Mannix would be authorised to conduct a loan campaign in lustra 1 ia, and possibly De Valera would accompany Archbishop Mannix to Rome. Government steps to Deal With Crime Reuter's Telegrams Rec June 9, 8.35 a.m. London, June 7 In the House of Commons replying to Mr T. Donald, Unionist Member for Victoria, Belfast, Mr Llovd George emphasised that the Government intended to take steps to bring to justice all persons associated with crime in Ireland-The Government, in this connection, was organising the Irish executive, and strengthening the police, naval, and military forces in Ireland. It would probably also be necessary to strengthen the law for "dealing with crime. The Government intended to put down the present organised campaign of murder and assasination.
