FRAUDULENT SWEEPS

London, Feb 13 Since the sth inst., on police msti action, the Post office has detamed hundreds of thousands of letters addressed to continental sweep promoters. The. remittances usually range from los to £10. It is ■ understood that the police do not desire to suppress all such correspondence, but want to make enquiries because they are certain most of the sweeps are fraudulent.
