COUNTY ROADS.

The following lcport on county roads was sa'mmttecl by Mr W J Gray (supervisor) to the last meeting of the TaurangaCounty Council: — Katikati Riding. The main read last month, owina; to so much rain, has been very sloppy. Te Puke. There were a lot of slips last month on the main road. All were removed as quickly as possible. We are now repairing the metal portions intending to come on to Hairini. We have 1-^fc the job of supplying metal for tpu chains eastern end of Waitao bridge. Timber for repairs to the little bridge (Kopouroa) on the Papi.:noa-Te Puke road, is here aud we hope to get it on to the job and the work done this month. I think the grader is stopped at present for want of horses ;at any rate it is rather sloppy for working just now, 'Hie Matai Koad should be fixed up with the grader this coming spring, i The Public Works Department has during the last month supplied us with about half of the metal for Kaituua lUt and I think they will give us enough to complete it, The report was adopted
