Geneaal Haij? reports that tho weather rendered living on Tuesday almost impossible, but observations enabled our artillery to engage the hostile batteries. Wo bombed various targets behind the unetny lines and machine gunned the enemy's treucbes. Yesterday a rdid on Orenburg secured excellent results. One and a quarter tons of bombs wcro dropped on tho barracks; railway station and railway workshop. Several bursts wero observed in the vicinity of the barracks, and two fires broke out in the town. All our machines returned. A British aeroplane made a successful rseonnaisiauce over German aerodromes. ■ThaJOanadiaHs, who successfully raided south-eastward of Hargicourt, killed many Germans above ground and captured thirteen and two machine gnus. They abo destroyed four trench mortars and bombed 17 dugouts, whose occupants refused to surrender. Oar casualties wero slight and all the wounded men were brought io.
