Ttse market this week hss baen steady, though n large volume ot trade has been done. The poultry market was very heavily supplied asi for good heavy birds satisfactory prices were realised, though the market is very much ea?ier. Old clucks and small young ducks ara verj low in value and hard to quit at any price. Poor liens are not in heavy demand. Owing to tbe high price of grain clients are not clearing the stocks, thus the market will not show any improvement in value for some time. Small chicka ate uracticolly unsaleable. Potatoes and onions are slightly easier. Tha fruit market is well supplied and value* about same es last reports.
