Plumper's Road at Te Puna was referred to at the meeting of the County Council on Friday by Cr Lochhead, who said he had interviewed a number of settlers, and they desired a right-of-way through Mr Plummer's land. A young native named Tom Turna* tabi was arraigned at the Courthouse on Monday last, before Messrs JO Adama and 0 C Norris oo a churg* of committing forgery by making false entries in a Post Office Savings Bank book. Senior Sergeant O'Grady, of Waihi, prosecuted, while Mr 0 J Hodge represented accused. Accused was committed for trial at the next sittings of the Supreme Court in Auckland, trial being fixed in his own recognizance of £50 and one surety of £50.
