Occupation of Thasos Occasions No Surprise
Rec June 12, 12 5 p m. Salonika, June 11 The formal occupation of Thasos Island by the French marines caused no surprise. The population received them favourably. Thasos is valuable to the Allies as an anti -submarine base, beiDg close to the Bulgarian coast.
