Auckland, Jan 20. Mr A. A, Res?, Auckland provincial president of the Farmers' Union, who been in communication whh the Prime Minister, regarding the shortage of frozen meat space, m oversea steamers calling at Auckland rcceivyi the following wire from Mr Massey yesterday afternoon :— " With reference to your lett< r of 17th inst., I have conferred with the Overseas Shipowners' Committee, and it baa now been'arranged ior the Comirittee (o tyke 2.0b1) additional carcase?. It has further been arranged. aftvr the inwand cargo in one of the holds of the Tainui has been discharged, to eviol down the hold, and take in 12.000 carcasss on or about January 28, The cornmitt.ee had expected that the Indramra. shortly due in Auckland, would have been able to load meat in Auckland contemporary with the discharge of the inward cargo, but it is now found that this is net possible."— (Signed) W.
