A iiu'-ssuge from SoiLi, via Amsterdam, reports that the French troops laihteii at Pirneus and I'haleron. The report possibly originates with the Allip>\ who iwg making a systematic search of the Greek coasts and islands, and Crete with the object of discovering German and Austrian submarine bases. The Xeouasty, the Government organ in Athens, publishes articles strongly protesting aganist the Allies' action. It states that the search is beiug made without the permission of the Greeiv Government, which would never have sanctioned such an infringement of itss rights.
