ATTACKING TURKEY THROUGH SALONIKA.
Proposal Causes Uneasiness
in Greece.
Rcc Oct 5 10 pin Athene, Got o The projected landing of troops at Sabuika has aroused uneasiness necessitating British and French Ministers issuing reassuring declarations. The Ministers poiut out that the Allies have a mission to defend the railway against Bulgaria q,ud to succour Serbia. They willi co-operate with Greece if the latter joins the combatants \ The Greek Government has issued a formal proiest against the lauding. The public accept the necessity of the step although they r-Ggi-efc that it j is unavoidable. A well-known Greek politican states that a pro forma protest could be avoided if some possible mistakes are not committed, lc is absurd to compare the proposed landing witli ■the violation of Belgian neutrality as complete unanimity exists. The governing factors are that if Bulgaria attacks Serbia, Greece must go to her ally's assistance.
