Railway Communications Between Lens and La Bassee.
Paiis, Sept 27 It. is manifest that the prime objective of the Allies' attacks is the railway communications between Lens aud La Bassee, which are a secondary nucleus of a network of railways, secoud ouly to those at Lille aud vital to the security of that all-important centre. Hill seventy dominates Leas in additiou to a large tract of country eastward, resembling East Lancashire, covered with an intricate system of mineral railways.
