Sir, —"When passing aloug .Devonport Road on my way to Hairini a few day 3 ngo 1 noticed a new board erected at what is known by us oldfashionod locals as "Adams' Oormr" (Fifth Avenue) warning the public that this is a "dangerous comer 3' '. We all know that it is and must always be a dangerous corner no matter what amount of money may be spent there. 1 for one hope and trust that the Council will not spend one shilling of the ratepayers money in buying or aeccptiug as a gift oue ihch of land at this - x dangerous cor ncr." What is wanted is to do away ; with Die "dangei" at the least possible expense. This might have "been done a leDg time ego, as the remedy is in the hands of the powers that be, viz., by doing what trifle may be accessary to Arnndoi {Street. Hero we have a le.nitifr.l levc-lroad connecting Cameron Road with Devonport Eoa3, only waiting to be used. Immediately this road has a few pounds spent upon it the traffic would at once be' diverted froo the "dangerous corner," and the public would. obtain a straight, level and safe road, having many advantage?, and second in beauty and convenience to, no read in the lLrougli.
