A communique states :—•

We occupied by main force the village of Souohez and advanced eastward iv tlie direction of Givencby. Further south we reached Lafolie and pushed ■ north to Thelus, taking a thousand prisoners. The material captured iucludes twenty-four Held guvs, sixteen thouI sand imwouuded prisoners, aud two hundred officers. The prisoners tak^u over the whole front during the two days exceed twenty thousand.
