Ships Approach in Misty Rain. llicrc was a misty rain to cover the ships' approach, and the first notice cf their presence was shells bursting ashore. la intensity and dutatiou all previous bombardments were surpassed, and many shells fell inland between Zeebrugge and Law saweghe, several columns of blaok smoke towering into the air, The bombardment of Zaebruggo harbour was particularly severe, and foiled the attempt of the submarines to steal out.
Tho Allies' airmen, voder cover of the mist, successfully bombed the Guhmq positions, and German aeropbnes wore driven back to their own lines.
