Petrogrart, Sept 27. A communique states that the ppsiion on the Dvingk front is quiater. Many attacks near Vileyka were repulsed. We carried with the bnyonet tl c fortified village of Ostrofr, ncrthwestard of Vielayka and crushed the enemy's desperate resistance near Fodlugie, eastward of Novo Grodek We captured 600 German machine guns, 'two supply columns of artillery amnrunjtion and munition-?. We also captured the-village of Grodlugie further south, and drove back the Germans across the Struraane. Eec Sept 27, midnight Amsterdam, Sept 27 An Austrian commuuique says : Great enemy forces attempted to break our front near Novo Alexinetz. Tie battle lasted stveral clays, aid ended in a complete Ihissiati defeat. The enemy yesterday attacked teu times southward of Novo Alexinotz but were each lime repulsed.
