ALLIES MAINTAIN CAPTURED POSITIONS.
Obstinate Fighting Along Whole Champagne Front.
Rec Sept 27, 1.55 p.m.* ; Paris, Sept 27. A communique states:— We maintained throughout the nigtft our captured positions at Cantuel and the JSouchez Cemetery. We also lost German trenches eastward of the Labyrinth. Obstinate fighting is taking place along the entire Champagne front. Our artillery made successful surprise attacks against works in the Launois region in Baude Sopt.
