The Germaus have cut; the Vilua railways, excepn tho Lida-Vitchy Hue southwards. A, <»reat battle is expected in the Lida district The Germans are only leaving a screen of troops south of Dvinsk to prevent the Russians reinforcing Yilna. German troops, under Geueral yon Eichoro, crossed the Vilua river. Another body of Germans crosaed the tferesovka, below the Taoks Lakes.' The outlet from Vilua is thus narrowed.
